Through my parents I got the taste of travelling at an early age. I made my first steps in Bombay.

I was trained as a professional dancer at the Balletschool of the Hamburg State Opera and the Rotterdamsen Dansacademie.

In 1998 an "inner longing" led me back to India. At the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala I did my first Hatha Yoga teacher training (some more yoga trainings would follow) and from then on the yoga mat had its permanent place in my hotel room on all dance tours.

Over all these years I have been guided by my curiosity and enriched by various yoga styles and renowned yoga teachers.

By studying craniosacral therapy I refined my knowledge of the fantastic connections of the human body.

Since 2010 I am "Anusara inspired" and since 2020 "Anusara certified".

In the meantime I am a proud mom, I have become a bit more sedentary and pass on my joy of movement, health and life in regular yoga classes, private lessons (one to one) and retreats.

My classes are playful and fun with a love for detail and a keen eye for fluent alignment. The connection of breath, body, mind and heart is the main focus.

Y O G A

Anusara Yoga combines a precisely grounded physical Hatha Yoga practice with a life-affirming philosophy. This connection helps to feel good through and through by moving body, mind and heart.

Anusara means to flow with grace, to be in the flow of life or simply to follow your heart.

It is an innovative, exciting Hatha Yoga style, which can be spiritually inspiring and therapeutically effective on a physical level.

It is based on the "Universal principles of alignment". These are five basic principles that make optimal use of the biomechanics of the body. This means: our anatomy is precisely aligned, the asana practice is easy and flowing, the body is strengthened. This benefits not only our bones and muscles, but also our nervous, hormonal and immune systems as well as our mind.

Anusara Yoga is also based on the tantric philosophy, which in very simple terms assumes that everything is fundamentally good and that we do not have to become better than we already are, but rather allow ourselves to unfold and live our true potential.
